Student members of Stewards of Eden Rwanda successfully conducted a solar oven experiment using locally available materials. The project demonstrated its effectiveness by cooking an omelette in one of the solar ovens. Building on this success, we aim to upgrade the ovens with improved materials that can capture and retain higher levels of solar energy, enabling the cooking of foods that require more heat, such as beans.

This initiative will contribute to reducing the use of firewood and charcoal in Muhanga District, where these fuels are widely relied upon, thereby supporting environmental conservation and sustainable energy practices.
