Today, Stewards of Eden joined the residents of Nyarusange and the local authorities of Muhanga District for a meaningful community activity. Together, we proudly planted seeds of hope by providing 1,200 avocado seedlings and 500 guava seedlings to the people of Nyarusange Sector in the Southern Province of Rwanda. This initiative marks another important step toward building a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future for our communities.

These fruit tree seedlings will bring lasting benefits to the population, the environment, and the fight against climate change. For local families, the avocado and guava trees will offer a dependable source of nutritious food, enhance household diets, and create new opportunities for income generation through the sale of fruits. They will also significantly strengthen food security for many households.

From an environmental perspective, the trees will play a critical role in mitigating climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide, releasing oxygen, and helping to regulate local temperatures. Additionally, they will contribute to soil conservation by stabilizing the land with their roots and enriching the soil with organic matter from their fallen leaves.

At Stewards of Eden, we believe that every tree planted is a powerful investment in a healthier, stronger, and more resilient future. Together, we are restoring our land, empowering our communities, and standing united in the global fight against climate change.
