On May 17, 2025, the Environment Club from ICK (Institut Catholique de Kabgayi) visited ACEJ Karama Secondary School as part of our Climate Education in Schools initiative, proudly led by Stewards of Eden.
This campaign empowers students in primary, secondary, and university institutions with the knowledge, motivation, and tools to protect the environment, conserve biodiversity, and reduce plastic waste. One of its most exciting outcomes is that schools we’ve trained are now connecting, sharing experiences, supporting each other, and collaborating on joint activities that strengthen youth leadership in environmental stewardship.
At ACEJ Karama, the ICK team was warmly received by the school community and inspired by the vibrant Environment Club, which is actively planting fruit trees like avocados and tree tomatoes. Together, they held engaging discussions on practical climate actions, including reducing plastic use and implementing green projects at school level.
Together, we’re building a nationwide network of eco-conscious youth, one school at a time.
